My Favorite Word
Flow has easily become one of my favorite words as of late. I’ve spent a lot of time thinking about that word and what it means in the context of Life and how I might live it.
Remind yourself to flow with life, doing so means remembering to stop resisting everything that doesn’t seem to be going your way.
When you flow you don’t desperately cling to expectations of the future, a strange and mysterious place that offers no guarantees yet people still get all bent out of shape when their plans don’t go flawlessly.
When you really flow, all there is in life is that present moment. There is no thought of or plans for the future, they’ll just tempt you to try to force things to happen. There is no worry spent on the distant and immediate past, that’s left in the past and can’t ever reach us all the way up here in the present.
All there is in life is the right now, lose yourself in that moment, forget where you’re going or where you want to go, close your eyes, appreciate everything that’s going on around you, and just see where you end up.
Ultimately that’s what flow is, not trying to go anywhere, not wanting to go anywhere specific, just letting go and seeing where that takes you.
I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised how often that’ll work out in your favor.
I’m not done with this topic, no sir, not by a long shot.
Till then though, here’s to the next breath, the last, and all that wonderful stuff in between!

Hey,
I just came across your blog and thought I’d tell you how much I like it. I’ve let myself get caught up in struggling against life, and it’s great to have a reminder of what’s important.
I also write a blog and have had trouble staying motivated to keep it up. I always find a few comments to be a great motivator – a reminder that people are reading and enjoying it. I see you haven’t posted in awhile and thought I’d shoot over some encouragement.
Looking forward to seeing where the flow takes you.
Rob
